How much does a sauna and infrared cabin weigh and can they be fitted easily?
A sauna cabin consists of elements which are 100x205 cm maximum size and weigh 36 kg. The elements can be carried easely and fit through a door or u a staircase without a problem.
The elements of an infrared cabin are much lighter and can be fitted easily. With the cabin sized 218x116 cm. and the corner cabin sized 140x140 cm you have to take into account that the elements are difficult to transport over a standard staircase.
Which electrical appliances are needed?
The heater, lighting, possibly colour light therapy and all the cables are being supllied by the Bonhof Group. Enough cable is supplied to connect on the electrical system outside the cabin. You need to get a qualified electrician to connect to the mains, you need three phase electricity
An infrared cabin is completely wired and ready to be plugged into any electrical point.
How much moisture is being produced in and outside the cabin and does this need to be removed
A sauna cabin is very dry. The heat in the cabin reaches temperatures of 80 degrees and higher and the moisture levels drop to 20 %.
In the infrared cabin it is different, the temperature is lower. But there is no moisture. In both cases you don't need an extractor fan.
Is a cooling down room necessary?
It is nice if you can go outside in the open air directly from your sauna cabin. An open window however is also very effective to exhale the moisture from your longs. A cold shower close by is ideal.
A shower should be as close as possible to the infrared cabin.
Do you need a water connection or a drain?
You don't need water connection. The pouring of the water on the stones in the sauna is done by hand with a spoon from a sauna bucket. A drain is not needed and undesirable. The water in the drain evaporates, this disables the fetidness clincher.
Where can the sauna or infrared cabin be fitted?
Anywhere you want. You only need a good floor for the sauna. It needs to be smooth enable easy cleaning. For instance a tile floor or laminaat. The infrared cabin is fitted with a floor. The room does not need further specifications. Ventilation in the cabin is not necessary. The dry warm air from the cabin leaves via the ventilation in the room where it is fitted and will have no further influence.
Can the sauna be used immediately after it is fitted?
After the sauna cabin is fitted and connected to the electricity it can be used immediately. It is advisable to rinse the stones before putting them on the heater and heat the cabin first.
Can I catch a cold when I leave the cabin and go outside?
In the sauna you don't catch a cold. On the contrary, when you have a sauna bath regular you will notice you don't catch colds as often anymore, your body develops more resistance.
Can you have a sauna bath when you have blood pressure problems?
The sauna bath is healthy, also for the blood pressure. The heat in the cabin widens the veins in your body and the blood pressure drops. When it cools down the veins narrow and the blood pressure goes up. By using the sauna properly it can regulate your blood pressure.
Can you use the sauna when you suffer from varicose veins?
VWhen your are in the beginning phase of varicose veins it is not a problem. However it is recommended to ask your doctor for advise. The Bonhof group have taken this problem into account and it is possible to turn the leg radiation off separately.
Can you have a sauna bath when you are pregnant?
There is no reason to avoid the sauna when your are pregnant. Experts and connoisseurs are of the opinion that a sauna bath is beneficial for the pregnancy. In Finland children are born in the sauna.
Can anyone of any age have a sauna bath?
In Finland it is said: Any one that can walk to the sauna, can also go into the hot cabin. It has to be said, that small children do not regulate their body temperature efficiently. But otherwise there are no restrictions.
Am I naked in the sauna?Am I naked in the sauna?
Yes, you are not allowed to wear any restrictive clothing, otherwise the skin cannot absorb the heat properly, this also prevents a good and necessary cooling down. You take a towel into the cabin to sit on. This is for hygienic purposes, you sweat a lot.
You do not leave the towel to dry in the cabin, especially on the heater grate, this is a fire hazard.
